Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Torque Score handles personal information when you use the Torque Score website, Android application, account features, communications, community deal-submission features, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Torque Score is operated by GEARREPLAY.COM LLC, an Oregon limited liability company doing business as Torque Score.

Information we collect

  • Account information. If you create an account, we may collect your email address, account identifier, email-verification and account status, optional profile information, and records showing which versions of our Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted.
  • Preferences and activity. Depending on the features you use, we may process saved, liked, hidden, filtered, recommended, or alert-related choices; notification preferences; in-app match history; and similar account or device-level settings.
  • Notification information. If you enable alerts, we may process a push token, app or installation identifiers, platform/app-version information, notification settings, and delivery or error information needed to send and troubleshoot notifications.
  • Community submissions and user content. If you submit a possible deal or other content, we may collect the information you provide, such as product, retailer, price, promotion, location or availability context, explanatory text, links, and any images or other materials the Service allows you to submit.
  • Support, privacy, and legal requests. We collect the contact information, request details, correspondence, verification information, and resolution records reasonably needed to respond.
  • Device, security, and diagnostics. We and our service providers may process IP address, device/browser/app information, timestamps, request identifiers, security and anti-abuse signals, crash logs, diagnostics, CAPTCHA results, and similar technical information.
  • Local device data. Some guest preferences, temporary state, or authentication/session information may be stored in your browser or on your device. Local data may remain until you remove it, clear app/browser data, or normal application cleanup occurs.
  • Public deal information. Product, brand, retailer, price, promotion, availability, link, and price-history information ordinarily describes a product or offer rather than a Torque Score user.

How we obtain information

We obtain information directly from you, from your use of the Service, from service providers acting on our behalf, from retailers and other sources of product or offer information, and from people who submit possible deals or corrections. Please do not provide another person’s personal information unless you are authorized to do so.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, personalize, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Create and manage accounts; verify email addresses; maintain sessions; reset credentials; and process account deletion.
  • Save preferences, provide recommendations or alerts, deliver notifications, and prevent duplicate or unintended deliveries.
  • Receive, verify, moderate, investigate, correct, and review community submissions or reported deals.
  • Respond to support, privacy, security, accessibility, rights-holder, brand, and retailer inquiries.
  • Detect spam, fraud, abuse, malicious activity, prohibited conduct, and attempts to manipulate submissions, ratings, or the Service.
  • Communicate about the Service, accounts, security, policy changes, and transactional deal alerts. If Torque Score later introduces promotional or marketing email, we may send it where permitted by law and consistent with your communication choices.
  • Maintain records, comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, and establish or defend legal claims.
  • Create aggregate or deidentified information and use it for analytics, quality measurement, and business planning, provided we do not attempt to reidentify it where prohibited.

How we disclose information

  • Service providers. We may use providers for hosting, databases, authentication, cloud infrastructure, email, notifications, security, CAPTCHA/anti-abuse, diagnostics, customer support, and related technical services. They may process information for us subject to their terms and our applicable agreements.
  • Retailers, brands, and verification partners. We may share limited product, offer, or submission information when reasonably necessary to verify an offer, investigate misuse, correct information, or protect rights. We do not intentionally disclose a submitter’s optional contact information for ordinary deal verification unless authorized or otherwise permitted by law.
  • Affiliate partners and future commercial partners. When you use a compensated or tracked affiliate link, ordinary referral parameters and request information may be transmitted to the destination retailer, network, or partner. If Torque Score later introduces sponsored placements, advertising, marketing email, free or discounted products, or another compensated feature, any additional information involved will be described at the point of interaction or in an updated notice.
  • Legal, safety, and rights protection. We may disclose information to courts, regulators, law enforcement, rights holders, advisers, insurers, or other appropriate parties when reasonably necessary or permitted to comply with law, protect safety or rights, investigate misconduct, enforce agreements, or establish and defend claims.
  • Business transactions. Information may be disclosed in connection with an actual or proposed financing, investment, reorganization, merger, sale, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to applicable safeguards.
  • At your direction. We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.

Affiliate links and future commercial features

Torque Score may earn commissions from affiliate links. Torque Score does not currently use sponsored placements, display-ad SDKs, promotional or marketing email, or free products or other brand compensation as part of the launch Service. If Torque Score later introduces a sponsored, advertising, promotional, gifted-product, referral, or other compensated feature, we will clearly and conspicuously label the material relationship and paid content where users see or act on it. Compensation will not secretly purchase ordinary human deal approval or a higher ordinary Torque Score Rating.

Sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and preference signals

Torque Score does not currently sell personal information for money. If Torque Score introduces a practice that is treated as a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or similar regulated processing under applicable law, we will provide any notice, consent, opt-out mechanism, or universal preference-signal treatment required by that law. A compensated retailer link does not by itself mean that Torque Score sells your Torque Score account information.

Sensitive information

Torque Score is a shopping-information service. The Service is not intended to collect medical records, diagnoses, treatment history, government identifiers, financial-account credentials, biometric identifiers, precise geolocation, or similar sensitive information unless a feature expressly states otherwise. Do not place unnecessary sensitive information in free-text submissions or support messages. If Torque Score later introduces a feature that intentionally collects or infers sensitive information, we may provide additional notices and controls before using that feature.

Retention

We retain different categories of information for different periods based on the reason we collected it, the sensitivity of the information, security and fraud-prevention needs, contractual and legal obligations, dispute or claim requirements, user choices, and the capabilities of our service providers. Account-linked information is generally retained while the account is active and is deleted or dissociated when an eligible account is deleted, subject to limited exceptions. Records of consent, privacy requests, security events, legal matters, opt-outs, and similar evidence may be retained longer when reasonably necessary. Backups, security logs, and provider systems may retain information until their ordinary deletion cycles complete. We do not retain personal information solely because storage is convenient.

Your choices and privacy rights

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity or authority before acting on a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and may deny, limit, or charge for a request only where permitted. Rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to exceptions.

  • Account and profile. You may update available profile information through account settings.
  • Saved preferences and alerts. You may change available preferences, remove saved items, disable alerts, or turn off notification permission through the Service or your device settings. Guest/local data may need to be cleared on the device separately.
  • Future marketing communications. If we introduce marketing email, you may unsubscribe using the method provided in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing account, security, legal, or transactional messages.
  • Account deletion. Eligible consumer accounts may be deleted through the in-app account settings and through the external process described on the Delete Account page.
  • Privacy requests. You may contact support@torquescore.com to request access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out, withdrawal of consent, or another privacy right that applies to you. You do not need to create a new account to make a request.

Age and minors

Public deal browsing may be available without an account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or submit a community deal. If you are 16 or older but under the age of majority where you live, use an account or submit content only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a person under 16 created an account or submitted personal information through a community-deal submission, we may disable the account and delete or restrict the information as appropriate and required by law.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we process. No system, storage method, or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your password and device, use a unique password, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized account use.

United States service

Torque Score is currently offered for users in the United States. Information may be processed in locations where Torque Score or its service providers operate, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, our providers, or applicable law. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
